Malaysia, Truly Asia

My friend, her Aunt & I went to Malaysia because of something important. We just need to cross the borders and go back to have my passport stamped. We traveled from Singapore by bus for almost 3 hours or so. The fair was pretty cheap though. Thanks to my friend's Aunt for the free fare. At first glance I thought I was going back to the Philippines. Everything looks pretty the same but the smell? totally different. I still love the Filipino scent and all. But one thing that impressed me was the food cooked in LIME STONE. Raw food served and you just have to let it cook for 5 minutes and poof! perfectly cooked chicken & shrimp. and I love the noodles too. Absolutely yummy!

The Lion City

Wiki info:
The English name of Singapore is derived from the Malay Singapura (Sanskrit सिंहपुर Lion City), hence the customary reference to the nation as the Lion City.
The country is highly urbanized.
Dining, along with shopping, is said to be the country's national pastime.
The diversity of food is touted as a reason to visit the country, and the variety of food representing different ethnicity is seen by the government as a symbol of its multiculturalism.

This was my first travel out of the country. This was something I didn't really plan of doing. You see when a girl's heart is broken she makes decisions out of nowhere. But I'm glad I made this risk. Singapore is a great place to escape. Staying there for almost 2 months I think I've been everywhere. The famous Orchard Road where you can find the most luxurious brands Chanel, Prada, Louis Vuitton, D & G, Marc Jacobs, Zara, Christian Dior, Just Cavalli, Topshop, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo & et al. Name it, they're all there. How can I ever forget Lucky Plaza, the place for the Filipinos. If you're working in Singapore and you miss Filipino food & stuff, go to Lucky Plaza it feels like home. And of course the place where I stayed, Yishun. I guess I learned to memorize the red line. Ang Mo Kio - Toa Payoh - Novena, where there's this church I pray my rosary and they say it's miraculous and I believed it is. Somerset & of course Dhoby Ghaut the interchange station, if you won't follow the signs you'll totally be lost. How would I miss my trip to Little India, it's like you're really in India. You'll see a lot of dark skinned people and the stuff they sell there are really cheap. And of course the famous Bugis, where you can get stylish clothes & stuff. But I think if you convert the price it's a little costly. And also Marina Bay, where you'll see the famous Merlion, the unbelievable architecture design of Marina Sands Bay Hotel, the Durian like structure of Esplanade and the awesome lights when evening comes. And lastly, my favorite part is when I got a free treat from my friend Menj to Sentosa Island where Universal Studios is located. Universal Studios is my second best choice of the happiest place on Earth. I still consider Disneyland as the first and it's still on my list of places to go. I'll never forget when my friend told me that we need to ride "Mummy Revenge" and I'd have to say I almost thought I regret the decision of joining her. LOL. It was the scariest ride I ever had. Imagine riding in a roller coaster but faster with stops and turns and the lights were just blinking. But I love the Jurassic park, the fairy land where the Shrek 4-D theatre is found and the sumptuous Goldilocks restau with there mouth watering mashed potato. And of course, the lights camera action of Steven Spielberg where they showed how they make stunts and effects in movies. Absolutely mint!

I must say my Singapore trip was an experience of a lifetime.

Talima Adventure & Water Park

Wiki info
Talima Adventure & Water park was established while keeping the environment & community in mind.
The park is located in Brgy. Talima Olango Island, which is facing Punta Engano, Mactan Island.
The park’s main attraction is the Funflatables.  Great for both children and adults, it is a water recreation system featuring a giant inflatable slide, water trampolines and water rollers.

This was our Team Building when I was still with Team Black Widow. It's an hour ride from Mactan Island. Entrance fee is about 500php which includes unlimited use of the inflatables. It was fun & exhausting at the same time. And I'm glad they had life jackets because I don't know how to swim. I know. sucks! Bigtime. And too bad we weren't able to use the Zorb ball because that was what I was excited for. But it was fun though. A 7  out of 10.

Tagaytay, to traverse ridges.

Wiki info:
Legend has it that the word Tagaytay came from "taga" meaning to cut and "itay" which means father. A father and son were said to be on a wild boar hunt when the animal they were chasing turned and attacked them. As the boar charged towards the old man, the son cried "taga itay!". The boy's repeated shout reverberated in the alleys of the ridge. Heard by the residents, hunters and wood gatherers, the cries became subject of conversation for several days in the countryside. In time, the place where the shouts came from became known as TAGAYTAY.
It is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. Tagaytay City provides a good view of theTaal Volcano
Tagaytay also offers a view of Taal Lake - a lake within an island within a lake.

This was one of my checklists during my trip here in Manila when I was still an official Cebuano. I love how the wind feels so great during the ride going to Tagaytay. The picnic grove is admirable with its panoramic view and activities like zipline plus photo souvenir. I love the feeling because I saw families getting together, having fun and just doing nothing at all.

Kalanggaman Island, Our very own Beauty!

I'm proud to say it's our very own beauty. Just an hour ride from my beautiful hometown, Palompon. The clear water, the white sand, the blue sky & the tropical heat of the sun makes Kalanggaman a superb summer getaway destination.  It's simply a Paradise. You would allow yourself to be stranded with someone special.

Yoonek Feeling @ Bantayan Island

I've been to this Island 3 times but I still feel euphoric every time I visit the place.  How could you possibly get enough of the breathtaking view of the blue sea and white sand. The fun-filled island hopping to Virgin Island. The sumptuous meal by the sea with grilled meat & fish, seafood and the warm wind to make it perfect. It is one of the places that you can never get enough of.

This place is what they call "The Island Paradise" because it really is one perfect paradise. It's all worth the 3 or more hour ride going to the place. Everything you'll see there is amazing. The people, the beach, the restaus, the food and the night life. If you're stress from work and need to relax, Boracay is the place to go. Sitting by the beach, watching the sunset gives you a sense of utopia.
Added bonus: seeing Derek Ramsay, a British actor, television host & commercial model working in the Philippines. He is such a hunk. The face, the body, the skin color & the smile makes him my definition of Mr. Right. LOL.

Bohol, Cebu Philippines

This was a summer outing for Team Cool for being the top seller for the week. An hour ride from Cebu City via fast craft to the island and another 2 hour ride via shuttle to the resort. The beachfront room is a perfect choice so that you'll enjoy the view of the white sand beach. Never miss the island hopping to Balicasag Island, Virgin Island and to the sandbar. Absolutely amazing!
